Privacy Policy

A plain-language overview of what data Statuscode stores, how it is used, and where third-party provider responsibilities begin.

1. Data Handling & Role

Statuscode collects and processes the account and configuration data needed to run your status page, including branding settings, selected monitors, and account contact details. We only use that data to operate and improve the service.

2. Third-Party Integrations

Statuscode works as an extension layer on top of monitoring providers like UptimeRobot and Better Stack. To sync monitor status and history, we may store the API tokens you provide for those services. We do not ask for or store your provider passwords.

3. Authentication & Profile

We collect the basic account details needed to create and maintain your Statuscode account, such as your email address and profile information associated with sign-in.

4. Essential Cookies

We use essential cookies and session/local storage needed to keep you signed in, secure your account, and operate the platform. These are functional requirements of the service rather than marketing trackers.

5. Right to be Forgotten

If you delete your Statuscode account, we will remove the account data and configuration we control, subject to any legal, billing, security, or operational retention requirements. Deduction of subscription amounts will stop and your plan will end as soon as you delete the account.

6. External Provider Terms

Statuscode does not replace the monitoring provider you already use. Monitor data, data availability, history depth, rate limits, and provider-specific restrictions remain subject to the terms, policies, and technical limits of UptimeRobot, Better Stack, or any other connected source.

Before using Statuscode with those services, you should also review the terms and privacy policies of the provider you connect.

7. Payment Processing

Subscription payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our third-party billing partner. We do not store or see your full credit card or bank account details. Your payment information is processed securely according to PCI-DSS requirements.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect data in transit. API tokens provided for monitor integrations are stored securely and used only for the purpose of syncing status data to your page. Access to this data is restricted to essential automated processes and authorized personnel only.

9. Service Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive essential service-related emails. These include billing receipts, account security alerts, and significant platform updates. We do not sell your contact information to third-party advertisers.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes via a notice on the platform dashboard or through the email address associated with your account.
